Which beauty trends were all over the recent catwalks at Fashion Week in New York, London, Milan and Paris? Read on for the updated Spring/Summer 2014 forecast…
Bright Lips: Strong lips added a major pop of colour on the runways this year, often playing off against equally bold eyebrows and offset by natural-looking skin. Take cue from Rag & Bone and Prabal Gurung catwalks at NYFW and swipe Givenchy Rouge Interdit Shine in # 11 Coral Shine on your pout for a show-stopping effect. It’s the perfect punchy hue to see you right through Spring, Summer and then some.
Bare Skin: Almost naked complexions abounded this season, namely at Marc by Marc Jacobs where bare skin was gently contrasted by simple blocks of an accent colour. Let your inner beauty shine through and show off your healthy glow with Decleor Double Radiance Cream which contains essential oils of Élémi and soft focus pigments that brighten skin instantly.
Classic Nails: It’s no secret that nude, white washed and bare nails have overtaken runway nail art. But if you want to add your own classic edge, adorn sheer nails with subtle accents such as a line down the centre, a touch of glitter or criss cross embellishments a la Burberry.
Grunge Eyes: At Milan Fashion Week, Just Cavalli models sported soft grunge eyes that appeared lived in and edgy. Get the look by smudging Guerlin Black Kohl Liner on the bottom and upper lash line and blend with a touch of Calvin Klein Silver Cream Shadow for a modern appeal.
Lifted Locks: At DKNY, hair was relaxed and easy-breezy with lots of oomph. Channel the voluminous vibe by styling your mane with Schwarzkopf Osis+ Upload Lifting Volume Cream. Apply directly onto towel dried hair, starting at the roots, and use a round brush to as you dry to get more body and soft movement through your locks.
Sculpted Brows: Sculpted and defined brows gave an air of sophistication to the runways at NYFW and Paris catwalks. Achieve groomed arches with Lancome’s eyebrow kit, complete with tweezers, eyebrow comb and eyebrow brush for to polish and tame any strays.
