Francois Nars’s passion for makeup began during his childhood in the south of France, where he grew up obsessively watching Italian and Hollywood films and reading his mother’s Vogue. To this day, these first inspirations shape Francois’ approach to beauty, and come to life as dramatic makeup looks or cinema-inspired product names like Dolce Vita, Strada, or Belle de Jour.
The love of makeup and photography led him to train at the famed Carita Makeup school in Paris and upon graduating Francois Nars’ rapid ascent in the fashion world reflected talent, hard work, and uncommon vision.
